The Times, on 19th August 2003, had a report on the new competition among directory enquiry service
providers and gave a comparison of the costs. (The link,
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/newspaper/0,,171-784151,00.html, now gives a 404 error).
In the letters about this article on
Thursday the 21st, Tony Chamier of West Sussex asked if the Times would consider
publishing a chart showing costs for various times. I don't think they ever followed this up,
but I prepared a table of the costs (based on their data) for 1, 2, 3 and 4 minutes. You can also get a
