My favourite site for finding out the truth for Old Wives' Tales and Urban Legends is
the Snopes site. Unfortunately, when I looked, they
did not have any information on a question I had about cheese at bedtime - so I did my
own research. Fortunately CIX is an excellent place to find answers
and pointers for questions on any topic. So I asked in the Noticeboard conference on CIX.
Since then I saw, from my Atomz search results, that someone had searched on "cold key
nose bleed". Remembering this story from my childhood, I went to Snopes and again didn't
find an answer. However Google is our trusty friend, so
I have added another OWT to the list. Keep them coming.
