Although care was taken in assessing the condition, assessments are subjective and may not be accurate or how you might assess the books yourself.   As a general guideline we have used the system given at the bottom of the page.

fine sound binding, no obvious imperfections, used but still clean and solid.
good used condition as at a good secondhand bookshop, all there, might have some fading, turned down corners, small imperfections but all pages attached and nothing missing.
fair minor imperfections, repaired tears, light stains, scuffing on binding, maybe some corners missing, maybe some annotation; margin notes, underlining, etc.
