Our fourth at sea day, but with a CC Meet this time, so time to catch up on what everyone else has been doing. Jack asked me to do a talk on the birds that we had seen. He was fascinated by the ones following the ship (the Fulmars) and had noticed they didn't look quite like gulls. This is me answering a question after the talk, with Jack in the background. (Photo courtesy of Barbara, she apologised for missing the shot of me flapping my arms up and down to show how fulmars fly).
I see by the picture on the right that sometime during the day we were invited for a glass of champagne with the captain to celebrate the fact that for once the non-americans outnumbered the americans on the cruise. It is normally the other way round. We had to join up the forces of the Aussies, the Dutch, the Brits and the Kiwis, plus a few Asians, but we got there. We had Debbie to entertain us on the piano as well. We did notice that when someone engaged her in quite earnest conversation she just kept on playing, and no wrong notes either.
